Research Gap
Despite substantial empirical evidence of the relationship between biodiversity and economic development decline, the current research sources present an insufficient amount of empirical information based on a rather small infrastructure project such as EACOP. There is very limited research done that specifically focus on the effect of physical clearing, constructions and operation processes of oil pipelines on phytodiversity. Furthermore, predictive modeling schemes that connect long-term development tracks of economic growth and biodiversity survivability within a realistic corridor of development.
